The Jerk is a film starring Steve Martin and tells the story of a man who was raised by a poor black family. The film is really quite funny and Steve Martin's acting in incredible. The whole plot until the end of the film works well and tells a nice and complete story. There is not much else to say about the film but it is a good film but is not the greatest film ever. The one place that it fails is that a lot of the things that happen call for a lot of suspension of disbelief especially when Martin makes a large amount of cash over a simple invention. I give the film 4/5 stars.
