Broadcast News is a lesser known film about the network news industry and the reason why is that it is not as much of a drama as say Network. The film does have some memorable scene but does not seem to get away from the love story that is building between William Hurt and Holly Hunter's characters. The acting could use a slight bit of improvement but the film itself tells an interesting story and keeps you interested through the entire 2 hour runtime. Overall the film could have used some serious improvement but was not horrible. I give the film 3/5 stars.
