#533 - Jonah Hex

To equally play against Marvel's film Iron Man 2 DC Comics decided to insert a film from one of their C-list heroes Jonah Hex. Jonah Hex is a character who is bounty hunter who was a soldier during the Civil War. He is one of the few characters that very few people know about and it allowed for some liberties to be taken with the character. As a character in the comics Hex is awesome but as a film it SUCKS. There are many problems that will make this film review extremely long so I am not going to go into depth but I will go over it in brief detail. For starters the film is way too short to fully create the world in which this character is placed in. Secondly along with the shortness the film lacks exhibition into certain details of Hex's life that is needed to fully embrace the film. There was one plus to the film that I liked but also slightly disliked. The introduction after Hex is scarred it looks like an animated film or like actual stills from the comic book. The problem I had though was that mostly this could have been done better with the actors and not just a voice over. I give the film 2/5 stars.
