American Psycho is a thriller from 2000 and stars Christian Bale as Patrick Bateman a homicidal maniac. the film is not extremely inventive and I can't at all care for any characters. The one and only cool thing in the film is the fact that Bateman's apartment seems to be filled with weapons to the point that he doesn't even have a fridge it is all weapons. The plot is a little overplayed and the fact that Bateman is way too crazy for me just loses me entirely in the plot of the film. The film needed some serious improvement especially because there is not any real resolution in the reasoning for Bateman's homicidal tendencies and whether or not something actually happened to the victims. I give the film 3/5 stars.
