The film Close Encounters of the Third Kind has been reworked by Steven Spielberg three times since its release. I was able to watch the original film without any changes by Mr. Spielberg. I have to agree with him in the way in which he felt a change was needed. He thought that it would be good for a shot of the inside of the mother ship. The movie itself was very good and the effects were amazing for the time. Richard Dreyfuss was incredible as the lead character and he makes you believe that he is actually going inside while filming this. I give this film 4/5 stars.

The film Close Encounters of the Third Kind has been reworked by Steven Spielberg three times since its release. I was able to watch the original film without any changes by Mr. Spielberg.
