Tokyo Sonata is a 2008 film from Japan and tells the story of one family who just can't get a break and has problems left and right. Each of the four different stories of this story are told with such ease that it almost seems like a documentary with the way that we follow them almost straight through the day in their life. The film's acting is incredible and you can feel real emotion from each of the actors. The film overall is an amazing look into what it is like to be in the situations that they end up in and also looks deeper into the family routines of the typical Japanese family. I give the film 4/5 stars.
