Stand By Me is one of the classic coming of age stories and is based of a book by the amazing writer Stephen King. The film stars Corey Feldman and the late River Pheonix. The film centers around a group of boys who at the end of their summer vacation go on a small quest to find a dead body and bring it back to be considered heroes. Throughout their trek they come across many different challenges that test their strength a human beings. The acting by the different kids is okay but not incredibly amazing. The plot is very strong though and if you are at any age can really teach you something about life. I give the film 3.5/5 stars.
