#493 - Capote

Capote is a sort of biopic about the famed author Truman Capote, during the writing of his last book. The film stars Philip Seymour Hoffman and he does an amazing job of portraying the author. Now I do not know much about the author prior to my viewing of the film but from Hoffman's performance of him he seems to be a very interesting. The story of the writing of his book is intriguing and it makes you wonder how much of it is true and how much was fictionalized for the film. By the end of the film, before the boys actually confess to the murder, I actually believed that the two of them had not committed the crime. The film could have been much better though being that the film moves along at a very slow and deeply relaxed film but I think the film could have moved a long a little bit faster then the film did. overall though the acting has to be the greatest part of the film. I give the film 3.5/5 stars.
