Resident Evil is the first in the line of four films based off the video game series. It stars Milla Jovovich and Michelle Rodriguez. The film has a good plot and good special effects. The acting on the other hand feels weak and forced by the actors. The ending was incredible and either is based off the stereotypical zombie scene or started it and it is incredible in every possible way. The film does make me care for some of the characters which most of the best known horror films fail to do. After the shut down of the central computer and we are down to about five people we begin to fully care for the characters. I give the film 3/5 stars.
